Teenagers Orthodontics

The American Association of Orthodontists (AAO) recommends that every teenager have their first orthodontic examination at age 7–8. At this age, even if not all permanent teeth have erupted yet, the orthodontist can identify early signs of potential problems with jaw growth, tooth positioning, misalignment between the upper and lower jaws, or habits that may affect the normal development of the mouth and teeth. An early examination does not require immediate treatment, but it allows for intervention at the right time—sometimes in a simpler, shorter, and more effective way—or alternatively, for controlled monitoring of development. At Curiel Orthodontics, we understand that visiting the orthodontist can be a stressful experience for teenagers (and parents too!). That's why we created a friendly, inviting, and especially calming environment for our little ones. Here, orthodontic treatment for teenagers is much more than just straightening teeth – it's an opportunity to create a positive and empowering experience.
